The design of 0-10v dimming led driver with a control chip, connect with a 0-10V dimmer, through change voltage from 0 to 10V to impact the output current, then down the light. For example, if we modulation the output voltage of led dimmer to 0V, the output current down to 0 accordingly , the brightness of the light is off (there is a switch), when we up the output voltage of led dimmer to 10V maximum, the output current will reach 100% of the led driver output, light brightness will be 100%. (Output voltage of led driver is constantly)
Dimming principle of 1-10V, as same as explained above, only difference is the dimmer is 1-10V. When the resistance dimmer is at 1V, the output current is also changed by 10%, at 10V (Maximum), the output current will reach 100% of the power output, the brightness of light will be 100%. (Output voltage of led driver is constantly). 1-10V dimmer do not with switching function, the light can not be transferred to the darkest effect.
