LED drive power supply: a voltage converter that converts the power supply into a specific voltage and current to drive the LED to emit light.
Under normal circumstances, the input of the LED drive power supply includes high-voltage power frequency AC (ie city power), low-voltage DC, high-voltage DC, low-voltage and high-frequency AC (such as the output of an electronic transformer), etc.;
The output is mostly a constant current source that can change the voltage with the change in the forward voltage drop of the LED.
The led driver power supply can be divided into two categories
1. Constant current type:
The output current of the constant current led drive circuit is constant, and the output DC voltage varies within a certain range with the size of the load resistance. If the load resistance is small, the output voltage will be low.
The larger the resistance, the higher the output voltage.
①The current driving circuit is ideal for driving LEDs, but the price is relatively high;
②The constant current circuit is not afraid of load short circuit, but it is strictly forbidden to load open circuit;
③Pay attention to the maximum withstand current and voltage value used, which limits the number of LEDs used.
2. Constant voltage type:
When the various parameters in the voltage regulator circuit are determined, the output voltage is fixed, but the output current changes with the increase or decrease of the load.
①The voltage stabilizing circuit is not afraid of load opening, but the load is strictly prohibited from short-circuiting.
②The change of rectified voltage will affect the brightness of LED.
③For each string to drive the LED to display uniform brightness, add an appropriate resistor.
