Typically, the power supply is any device that provides energy to the LED drive circuitry. "Power" refers to a circuit or device that adjusts the available power based on the specific needs of a single device or a group of similar devices. In most non-industrial settings, the available power or input power is AC and the output power is DC. Such as the 24 volt ac led driver, it is the dc input led driver. 24 volt ac led driver,dc input led driver, regulated power supply,12v regulated power supply
There are two ways to power: regulated and unregulated.
There is a voltage regulator at the output of the regulated power supply. Regardless of the current consumed by the device, the regulator ensures that the output voltage is always at the power supply rating. This is effective as long as the device does not exceed the rated output current of the power supply. From an electrical point of view, the regulated power supply provides a constant output voltage regardless of the output current. Just like a 12v regulated power supply with multiple regulators can provide multiple output voltages to operate different devices.
The output voltage of the unregulated power supply is uncontrolled. Unregulated power supplies are designed to produce a specific voltage at a particular current. In other words, using floating electrical terminology again, an unregulated led driver provides a certain amount of power (voltage x current). As the output current increases, the output voltage decreases and vice versa. Therefore, an unregulated led driver should always match the voltage and current requirements of the equipment it supplies as much as possible. By its nature, an unregulated power supply does not produce a clean (ie constant) voltage. If there is no regulator to regulate the output voltage, changes in the input voltage are fed back into the output voltage.
All in all, unregulated power supplies are cheap, but only provide the same clean power as the available input power. If you use sensitive electronics to power your device, you absolutely need to clean the power. If you need a power supply that can provide multiple DC output voltages, a regulated power supply with multiple outputs is better than multiple power supplies with a single output.
