CV power supply can be carried with a current limiting resistor, which make the output voltage meet the requirement of the entire LED string. You will find most LED strip use constant voltage led driver normally.
Some LED power supplies may feature both options of CV and CC, they run as CV as standard, when output current exceed the rated current limit, they switch to CC mode. This type led drivers are suitable for some applications which require a flexible driver.
