When an electrical failure occurs in the lighting circuit and LED drive power supply, in order to prevent personal electric shock, electrical circuit damage and electrical fire, short-circuit protection, overload protection and grounding protection should be provided to cut off the power supply or send an alarm signal.

SMARTS LED driver has SELV function to ensure the basic safety of the power supply; in addition, the power supply has multiple protection functions, including short-circuit protection, over-voltage and overload protection, and over-temperature protection.

In the application of plant landscape, when choosing the corresponding 150W LED drive power, pay attention to the following three points:

1. Try to choose an LED drive power supply with electrical isolation;

2. The insulation resistance between the live part of the LED drive power supply and the grounding terminal is greater than 2MΩ;

3. The metal shell of the LED drive power supply must be grounded reliably and clearly marked.

In outdoor applications of LED landscape lighting, attention must be paid to waterproofing. Water penetration can cause short circuits in the waterproof LED drive power supply. In order to be rigorously waterproof, the driving power supply will use various waterproof components, whether it is the design of the housing or the internal potting, it will generally be strictly in accordance with the requirements of IP65 or even IP67.
